What should I do if I have a burst pipe?

Turn off the mains water stop tap immediately — usually found under the kitchen sink or where the mains pipe enters the property. Then call us and we will advise on next steps and arrange a visit as soon as possible.

How often should I have my boiler serviced?

Once a year. Annual servicing keeps your boiler running efficiently, extends its lifespan, and is usually a condition of maintaining the manufacturer warranty.

What is the difference between a combi boiler and a system boiler?

A combi boiler heats water on demand and does not require a hot water cylinder, making it ideal for smaller properties. A system boiler works with a hot water cylinder and is better suited to larger homes with multiple bathrooms.

How long does a boiler replacement take?

A straightforward like-for-like combi boiler replacement typically takes one day. More complex installations involving system changes or new pipework may take two to three days.

Do you need to be Gas Safe registered to replace a boiler?

Yes. It is a legal requirement that all gas work including boiler installation is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Our engineers are fully registered and issue a Gas Safety certificate on completion.

What is a powerflushing and does my heating system need it?

Powerflush is a process that cleans sludge, rust, and debris from a central heating system. Signs that your system needs it include cold spots on radiators, discoloured water from the bleed valve, or a boiler that cuts out frequently.

Can you install a smart thermostat?

Yes. We install Nest, Hive, Drayton Wiser, and other smart thermostats as standalone upgrades or as part of a boiler installation.

Why is my water pressure low?

Common causes include a partially closed stop tap, a faulty pressure reducing valve, limescale build-up in pipes, or a leak somewhere in the system. We diagnose the cause and fix it on the same visit where possible.

Do you carry out landlord gas safety certificates?

Yes. We carry out Gas Safety inspections for landlords and issue CP12 certificates as required by law. We can schedule annual renewals for managed portfolios.

Can you add radiators to my existing heating system?

Yes. We assess your boiler’s capacity, design the pipework route, and add radiators to your existing system. We also balance the system afterwards to ensure even heat distribution.
